Pumpkin Soup

This creamy soup is a combination of pumpkin, vegetable stock and whole cream.

Main Ingredient(s): Pumpkin(kaddu)


  • 1 kg Pumpkin(kaddu) (Deseed & Chopped)
  • 4 Tablespoon Oil
  • 700 Mililitre Vegetable Stock
  • 2 Medium Onion(pyaaz) (Finely chopped)
  • 142 Mililitre Full-Cream ( whole milk)

Original recipe makes 6 Servings


Method of Preparation


-Finely chop onion and keep aside in a bowl

- Deseed and chop pumpkin and keep aside in another bowl.

Step 1

Heat up olive oil in a saucepan. When oil heats up, add chopped onion and saute for 5 minutes, till it turn transparent.

Step 2

Mix deseeded and chopped pumpkin and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, till it turn soft.

Step 3

Mix vegetable stock, salt, pepper and bring to boil over simmered flame. Cook for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Add double cream and bring to boil. Later, blend well and keep aside to cool down, later sieve and keep aside in a bowl.

Step 5

Serve immediately.
