Popular Rajasthan originated sweet dish, prepared by mixing roasted cashew, sesame seed and sugar syrup.

Main Ingredient(s): Sesame(Til) Seed


  • 0.5 Cup Sesame(Til) Seed
  • 200 Gram Granular Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon Clarified butter ( Ghee )
  • 0.25 Cup Cashews (Kaju) (Halved)

Original recipe makes 3-4 Persons Servings


Method of Preparation

Step 1

Place a wok over flame and dry roast sesame seed in it, keeping the flame medium high.

Step 2

When sesame seed turns golden brown, take sown and keep aside.

Step 3

In the same wok, dry roast cashew nut till it turns golden brown.

Step 4

Heat up clarified butter (ghee) in a non-stick pan. When it heats up, add sugar and water and stir well, keeping the flame medium high, till the consistency turns thick.

Step 5

When consistency thicken, take down the mixture and add roasted cashew and sesame seed and mix well.

Step 6

Pour the prepared mixture on greased tray and spread uniformly.  

Step 7

Before serving, cut sesame candy into desired shape.
