Method of Preparation

-Rinse, wash mushroom and keep aside in a bowl.

Paste Preparation

- Grind all the coconut spice ingredients (except coconut) to fine paste and keep aside in a bowl.

-Grind grated coconut separately and keep aside in a bowl. Do take care, that we do not use water in any of the paste.

Step 1

Heat up oil in a non-stick wok. When oil heats up, add chopped onion and saute for a while, till it turn translucent.

Step 2

Add chopped mushroom  and saute for 2 minute over medium flame.

Step 3

Mix ground spices and cook till spices coat uniformly in mushroom.

Step 4

Mix salt and cook over simmered flame, keeping the lid covered.

Step 5

Do check in intervals, if the mushroom has expelled water, then simmer the flame and cook, till the consistency is thick enough.

Step 6

Switch off the flame and take down mushroom masala and serve hot with rice/chapati.
